CERVOX Backup · Supplier questionnaires and tenders

Answer your customers with dated results

Backups, restore tests, recovery objectives, a DRP: when a customer asks for evidence, a written policy isn’t always enough. A recovery test on the required scope gives you factual, reusable material.

What a customer may ask you

A tender, a supplier questionnaire or a contract may ask about:

  • your backups and how they’re protected;
  • the date and outcome of your last restore test;
  • your recovery objectives;
  • your disaster recovery plan and, sometimes, your business continuity plan;
  • how you handle incidents, and how often you review these arrangements.

“When did you last test a restore?” is a simple question. Answering it without a test is less simple.

A policy says what’s planned. A test shows what works.

What you’ll be able to provide

  • A dated test report, with its scope and limits stated explicitly.
  • Your recovery objectives, approved by your leadership.
  • An extract from your DRP, if you build one.
  • The review frequency you’ve decided on, and your crisis responsibilities.

These materials can be reused from one tender to the next, as long as their scope matches the requirement.

We start from the exact requirement

  1. You send us the question or clause

    And the response deadline.

  2. We agree the useful scope together

    No wider and no narrower than what’s asked.

  3. We run the CERVOX Jour Zéro test

    On that scope.

  4. You receive dated results

    Which you use to prepare a documented answer.

Limits

A test doesn’t guarantee you’ll win a contract. Not every tender requires a DRP or a BCP. Evidence only helps if its scope matches what’s being asked. No turnaround time can be guaranteed before the scope is defined.

FAQ

How quickly can you run the test?

It depends on the scope and on your availability. Put your deadline in your request and we’ll tell you whether it’s realistic.

Can you write our questionnaire answers?

You remain the author of your answers. We give you the results and the context you need to document them.

Can we share the report with our customer?

The conditions for sharing the report with a third party are agreed with you during scoping and, where applicable, in the contract documents. The technical report may contain sensitive information.

We already have a written backup policy. Isn’t that enough?

It describes what’s planned. If the customer asks for the date or outcome of a test, only a real restore lets you answer.

Deadline coming up?

Send us the requirement and the deadline. We’ll suggest a test scope that fits.
